CMA Awards 2010 will be handed out tonight and this year is expected to be one of the most star-studded, entertaining nights in the history of the event.
Anyone and everyone from the world of country music will be in attendance for tonight’s show, which includes performances by some of the world’s most respected musicians.
If you’re planning to watch tonight’s awards, here are some of the highlights you can look forward to:
Kellie Pickler and Ellen DeGeneres Join Forces on the Red Carpet. I can’t think of two better and more hilarious people to host the red carpet together. Trust me, you won’t want to miss this incredible pre-show event.
This year the TV coverage airs live tonight, November 10, at 8/7c on ABC. We’ve already posted some details about the big event along with the nominees for Entertainer of the Year so if you’re interested in that check out our previous article here.
For the first time this year the CMA Awards is offering some live streaming of the event which you can find details of at the CMA Awards website here. The live stream will begin at 4:00 pm CT and will show interviews, rehearsal footage and coverage from the red carpet. There’ll also be coverage of the pre-TV ceremonies and other extended coverage.
Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley Co-Host. Just like I can’t think of two better people to host the red carpet show, I can’t think of two better people than Carrie and Brad to host the actual event. As we’ve seen in the past, the two complement each other very well on-stage. Plus, who doesn’t like seeing Carrie change outfits countless times in one night?!?

Bebe Winans

Well-known Gospel and R&B singer, BeBe Winans, is hitting the airwaves with his own show on Sirius Radio. Every Sunday fans can now listen to the “The BeBe Winans Experience.” Winans has a large following as not only is he a singer but also a writer and producer.

According to babble.com, “The BeBe Experience” goes out on Sundays at 2:00 pm ET and listeners will also have a chance to hear it again on 6:00 pm ET. Winans, known for “Close To You,” has won Grammy, Stellar and Dove Awards in his musical career and according to MarketWatch said, “I have found that music has a way of helping me through the journey of life. And I am glad to be joining the SIRIUS XM family to reach out to millions through their journey with the music that I love.”

Many of Winan’s friends from the world of gospel will feature on his show and there’ll also be interviews with gospel artists. The show will also give Winans the chance to share his favorite gospel tracks, both old and new.
Howard Stern loves to meddle in Robin Quivers’ love life, and today he brought in a man he thinks would be a perfect mate: gospel and R&B singer Bebe Winans. Winans appeared on the show to promote his new Sirius program, and during the first minutes of his appearance, Stern kept pushing Winans and Quivers to go on a date.
“Love is in the air,” he said at one point, after Quivers discussed her recent marathon finish with Winans. Quivers has lost 80 pounds switching to a vegan diet, and she noted that Winans, whom she did not recognize when he first came into the studio, has lost weight, too.
What do you think – should these two give it a try? (Quivers may want to note that Winans was arrested last year for domestic violence after he and his ex-wife got in a fight about custody of their children, though the charges were dismissed.)
