Why ABC Cancels 'All My Children' 'One Life To Live': ABC Network announced that it will cancel All My Children and One Life to Live, as of September 2011 and January 2012 respectively. In their place, a food show called "The Chew" will be first in September, and a transformation of health/lifestyle tentatively called "The Revolution" show will be first in January. "General Hospital" will remain on ABC network.
The decision left standing from ABC SOAP General Hospital the last.A soap opera, after all, is to become immersed in the details and the theatre of a set of people's lives.

Slowly, soap operas have melted as a force for TV, with many women who are the audience target now in the labour market. ABC airs two new shows, a subject of food and the other on the transformations of lifestyle.
