Triangle Shirtwaist Factory Fire by Jacqueline Dembar Greene. It today, one hundred years ago the fire of the Triangle yet killed 175 people who have been trapped or sauteed with their deaths to escape the flames. The fire began at the end of the day of work and as workers of garment of immigrants mainly tried to escape, their path was blocked by a locked door. It took 18 minutes to get the fire under control, but it was too late. The fire in 1911 became the touchstone of to labor.
