Austin Marathon
Austin Marathon: final resuilts the first winner of the race Sunday, Karen Killeen, told KXAN Austin News, is his race first in six years. Killeen ran portion of 3 miles of womens 5 k in 18 minutes.
The 26 mile course will take participants from the Capitol South, Ben White, Congress North Anderson Lane and then return to the Capitol.
Some 20,000 runners Lance Armstrong and Governor Rick Perry are the streets of Austin Marathon.As running a group training we had some great runs with a lot of conversation miles at the beginning of a long and then seemed things become much quieter and "moms the word" type speak after approximately 12 to 15 miles in the race. After completion of approximately 20 miles, everyone was tired but felt much about what they had done and want to talk about.
